WHAT IS TOTAL SERVICE?

In general, any tool being returned to a service agent under a Total Service Plan will be fully inspected and tested. Any worn, damaged or defective parts will be replaced, grease and seals replaced as required. The tool will undergo final safety and operational checks before being returned.


DEWALT GUARANTEE ON WORKMANSHIP

  • DEWALT applies very high quality standards to its suppliers and manufacturing operations,  and 100% of all products are tested prior to leaving the factory, there are however, rare occasions where a product defect occurs.

  • Where it can be verified to your satisfaction that a defect was caused by either 
    Incorrect assembly or One or more components were not manufactured to design specification limits.


  • DEWALT’s Warranty provides for the repair of such a defect to the product at no charge to the user.

  • Repair of Products with defective materials or workmanship is covered by the 3 Year product warranty. In the following years. The DEWALT’s standard manufacturer’s warranty (3 Year warranty) of DEWALT does not cover components that are subject to wear and tear caused by use in accordance with the instructions for use. These are all paid services and can be covered under Total Service.

  • Tool Misuse and accidental damage is not covered by the DEWALT 3 Year product Warranty or the Total Service Plan.

  • Examples of tool misuse include:
    - Extreme impacts or drops.
    - Ingestion of foreign objects, for instance nails, screws, sand, dirt.
    - Using the wrong tool for the application.
    - Any modification to a tool.
    - Prolonged exposure to the environment,
    causing rust, corrosion, etc.
    - Wrong voltage delivered to tool.
    - Using incorrect accessories or batteries.
    - Lack of recommended service (especially hammers).
    - Use of incorrect grease


  • Service attempted by Unauthorised Persons 

    Under no circumstances during the warranty period or during the Total Service Plan period should a customer attempt to service their own tool.


    Any such attempt invalidates the Guarantee / Warranty or the Total Service Plan for said tool. Warranty and repairs under the DEWALT Total Service Plan should only be carried out through an Authorised DEWALT Service Agent.
